Infants have soft nails, but as the child gets older, the child’s nails become harder and need to be cut with nail scissors. The nail scissors have a rounded tip, so you do not accidentally poke the child.
The nail scissors have a good grip for adults, making them easier to handle.
The file is used for sharp edges to prevent a sharp nail from scratching the child.
Good advice: cut the nails after a bath, when the nails are softer – or cut them carefully while the child is sleeping, so the child’s hands are still.
