RICE Raffia storage baskets and storage houses are among the very first products created at RICE – and we are still huge fans.
All Raffia products are handmade and made from a fantastic natural material – therefore, no two baskets are ever exactly alike, and it is important to know this before purchasing. Raffia fibres come from palm leaves and originate from Madagascar – where the entire story of RICE began.
The products are made with heart – they are produced in two villages in the mountains of Madagascar, where production contributes to better and more resources for the inhabitants of the towns.
